The Wild Rice is meticulously handpicked with labour intensive methods resulting in the top-quality control in our production processes. It is grown and processed without any use of chemicals, additives and artificial colouring and it consists of high nutritional information such as fibre content, essential minerals and antioxidants and it promotes great digestive health to help food pass through the stomach and intestines easily. The Scarified Broken Wild Rice undergo scarifying process where it involves scratching or abrading the outer surface of the grains. This is to offer a faster cooking and softer textured alternatives to whole wild rice.

Organic Wild Rice

1. Rinse the wild rice to remove any debris.
2. Use 4 cups of water or broth to 1 cup of wild rice.
3. Simmer the wild rice and water/broth in a saucepan or pot, bring the liquid over to a boil medium – high heat.
4. Reduce heat once the liquid reaches a boil. Reduce heat to low to maintain a gentle simmer.
5. Cover the pot with a lid and let the wild rice simmer for about 15 to 25 minutes. Check occasionally to ensure the wild rice is cooking evenly ad add more water/broth if needed. If it is not to your desired texture, you may continue simmering for another 10 to 15 minutes. Do add more water/broth if necessary.
6. Optional: add salt and pepper plus any flavour beef or chicken base even lemon or anything to your taste, you can also add onion & celery.
