Our Organic Wild Rice have gone through multiple stages of inspection, cleaning, sorting and testing such as contaminant testing for pesticides and mycotoxins to ensure the rice is safe for consumption and meets organic standards. Batch sampling from various batches to ensure that there is consistent quality, colour, and appearance throughout all the wild rice and to ensure that the rice meets a superior quality standard for our customers.

Organic Wild Rice

1. Rinse the wild rice to remove any debris.
2. Use 4 cups of water or broth to 1 cup of wild rice.
3. Simmer the wild rice and water/broth in a saucepan or pot, bring the liquid over to a boil medium – high heat.
4. Reduce heat once the liquid reaches a boil. Reduce heat to low to maintain a gentle simmer.
5. Cover the pot with a lid and let the wild rice simmer for about 40 to 50 minutes. Check occasionally to ensure the wild rice is cooking evenly ad add more water/broth if needed. If it is not to your desired texture, you may continue simmering for another 10 to 15 minutes. Do add more water/broth if necessary.
6. Optional: add salt and pepper plus any flavour beef or chicken base even lemon or anything to your taste, you can also add onion & celery.
